Hinweise zur Ausstellung:
»During the Winter Semester 2015/16 students of the University of Stuttgart developed strategic proposals for an 85,000 inhabitants informal settlement at »Los Laureles Canyon« in the city of Tijuana Mexico. The site mirrors the complexities of the Border Zone and has been defined as a key action area for transnational social, environmental and urban upgrading projects. The exhibition »Border Zone — Grenzraum« makes a portrait of the study site; it is an attempt to show case conflicts and potentials of the Mexico/United States border by zooming into a border community. Diagrams, photos, interviews and students’ proposals are building the main core of the exhibition.«

Zudem wird am 28. April 2016 ein Symposium zur Ausstellung an der Universität Stuttgart im Raum 1.08, Keplerstraße 11 stattfinden.
